Smart Automation Solutions (Pvt) Ltd

Electronics and firmware that keep machines reporting.

We build MyFuelStation — the system that runs a filling station from the nozzle up, on IoT boards of our own design — and we take on custom embedded engineering for teams that need hardware, firmware and cloud to work as one system.

What we do

One engineering team, two ways to work with us.

A finished product your filling station can run from next month, or an engineering partner for the system you are building yourself.

MyFuelStation — the smart filling station

Every litre pumped goes straight from the nozzle into one system: central billing, daily final accounts, stock, staff wages and credit customers, all built from the pump's own data instead of re-typed from it. Running at 12 stations, on our own FERP hardware in the dispenser bay.

  • Central billing with non-fading dot-matrix receipts
  • Live profit and loss, cash flow and tax invoices
  • Pumper balancing, HR and automatic daily wages
  • Stock control with AI seven-day demand prediction

Custom embedded engineering

Bring us a machine that needs to be measured, controlled or connected. We design the board, write the firmware, build the cloud link and the tooling that supports it — then stay on for the field rollout.

  • ESP32 / ESP32-S3 hardware and firmware on ESP-IDF
  • Protocol reverse engineering and signal tapping
  • MQTT and HTTPS cloud integration, OTA pipelines
  • Fleet tooling, factory flashing and test rigs
How we build

From a signal on a wire to a line in your dashboard.

Read the machine

We tap what the equipment already produces — a display line, a pulse, a serial bus — so there is nothing to retrofit inside the pump.

Decode on the board

Firmware turns raw signal into events: nozzle up, litres, price, totaliser — timestamped against an on-board RTC synced to NTP.

Send and store

Events go to the cloud over HTTPS and to SAS over MQTT. An SD card keeps the local log, so a dropped link loses nothing.

Support remotely

Our console shows the fleet live: firmware version, last seen, config. Fixes go out over the air, without a site visit.

Built on HSYS

Our own firmware framework, running in the field.

Every SAS product is built from one modular, message-based C++ codebase on ESP-IDF 5.5. A hardware abstraction layer means the same firmware also runs as a macOS simulator, so behaviour is tested before a board is ever powered up.

Five products ship from that single codebase — three COM board revisions and two receipt printers — which is why a fix written once reaches the whole fleet.

  • C++ on ESP-IDF 5.5, modular and message-driven
  • Hardware abstraction layer with a desktop simulator
  • Signed .bdl update bundles over MQTT or HTTP
  • Staged OTA for display-tap boards: boot, partition, firmware
  • Versioned releases per product, kept reproducible
  • Automated test plans for OTA, pumping and printing
